The album, which has been almost three years in the making, chronicles the highs and lows of her relationship with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

In the two recent singles, we got a glimpse into some of the issues in their relationship.

On "Me," Kelly sang, "Your insecurity was the death of you and me."

And on "Mine," Kelly gave a further glimpse into her relationship, one where she said she had to question the motives of her partner.

So yeah, this album gets personal, Kelly told hosts Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly. "[The album] is a whole scope of a relationship. Chemistry can be an insanely amazing thing, or an insanely unhealthy thing."

Kelly said some of the songs are inspired by some of the arguments she had in her relationship.

Kelly added that she's not bitter and still "loves love," despite her divorce — and despite having a song on the album called "I Hate Love."

"Do you think about your ex listening to it?" Hoda asked. Kelly responded, "No...we did have a little text exchange."

"I was like, 'Hey, I didn't just diminish us down to one [thing]. It's all in there. The ride. The beauty is in there as well.'"

Leave it to Kelly to be a class act. Love this queen. You can stream and buy Chemistry — out everywhere tomorrow!
