Promising review: "This magic powder worked so much better than I expected! I was doing some deep frying in my enamel cast iron pot one night, and when I was done, I poured the powder in the hot oil just as instructed. The stuff dissolved right away and I gave it a quick mix. I ended up putting the lid on and forgetting about it overnight. The next morning it was a solid gel mass. I was expecting it to be the consistency of Jello, but it was actually surprisingly firm! I took a spatula and barely applied pressure to one side to loosen it and the whole entire thing separated in one clean piece without any stray chunks of oil sticking to the pot. Couldn't have been easier! I have always avoided frying like the plague for the sole reason that I don't know what to do with the oil afterwards. When the mat is against the back wall, it extends up to but not over the front lip of the floor. On first use, pizza cheese and sauce dripped onto the front edge of the mat and onto that uncovered lip. The baked-on cheese and sauce slid right off the mat! Effortlessly! After I cleaned up the lip, I layered a second mat to cover the lip. These mats are so great that I almost want food to drip on them so I can show off how wonderful they are." —Artset Outset

My colleague Emma Lord (pictured above) is ready to divulge why this stuff is so great:

"Okay, I bought this on a whim because there's a sushi place down the street from me that makes truffle avocado sushi rolls and I was like, I need these in my life, but I also need money to live. I decided to DIY it with a regular $4 avocado roll and this seasoning and the umami bliss of it all basically exploded my brain. Since then I've tried it on eggs, on burritos, on potatoes, on chocolate mug cakes, pretty much every sweet and savory thing I can think of. The best part is you really get an excellent bang for your buck — it's so flavorful that I've been using this for months now and have barely made a dent in the container!"

Promising review: "Yes, I'm a truffle lover to begin with. And, of course, only a truffle is a truffle. Utterly AMAZING on popcorn, in eggs, added to soups and sauces to layer flavors, veggies, PASTA...the list is endless (I think the only thing I haven't tried was sprinkling it on ice cream...although LOL). It is a bit salty, so I advise testing the waters first. But I just ordered my 9th and 10th bottle of the Truffle Zest." —Greengirl

Promising review: "Feeding sticky rice to an infant/toddler is a sticky mess, but no more with this little gadget!!! My little girl enjoys eating rice more because she doesn’t also have rice sticking everywhere on her hands. The small paddle that it comes with is actually really a nice size, too. I recommended this item to many of my friends with small kids." —reeree

Promising review: "I absolutely cannot believe I'm doing this. I got this because I am ALWAYS having to pick out the shell when I crack an egg, whether for breakfast or my baking. Since buying this, I have cracked dozens of eggs without ANY shells in it. To say I am happy is an understatement. If you don't have one you should rush to get one. Promising review: "I was just as skeptical as you are. I, too, have been doing the old school — make the dough, roll it out, run it through a pasta machine, etc. — method. It's a production, all for AMAZING pasta. With this, you put the ingredients in, push a button, and watch for AMAZING pasta to be extruded. I had hoped I'd be able to multitask a bit more, but it extrudes so fast there isn't much time for other tasks between cutting it. But I think that seems reasonable. The other thing to consider is that you have to be VERY exact with the measurements of the ingredients. I've found weighing them works best. The recipes in the included book work great." —Conversio
