Promising reviews: "We use this to feed our cat so she gets reliable timing and portions. We no longer feel guilty if we come home late for feeding time! It was super easy to set up and has history on the app so you know what it did. You can adjust portion sizes of each of the feedings. We do three feedings a day, specify the portion size and time of day, and have never had it misfire or fail. It also notifies you when the food hopper is getting low. We use it every day so we have confidence it works when we’re occasionally gone overnight." —J. Daehn

Promising review: "I was skeptical but I was also tired of cleaning my air fryer of crumbs all the time. I have a PowerXl air fryer and one of these fits perfectly in there. I can do french fries or any other fried food and discard the liner and the fryer is still nice and clean. I use two when I do juicy items like hot dogs, chicken breast, and sausage, and when I'm done, I take out the meat, lift out the liners, and all the gross juice comes out with it, leaving the fryer ready to clean. I highly recommend." —Kevin M. Harer

I am not usually nervous at night but if someone were to come to the door after 11 p.m., I would be! The video feature tells you right away if you know the person(s) at the door. It's also great if you are napping — you can easily tell whether you should get up and go to the door or not. My third, and really the best reason for loving this item, is because I'm in a wheelchair and cannot always make it to the door in time and hate 'burning rubber' only to find out they have already left or are trying to sell something." —MCW

reviewer pulling their wagon full of bags
reviewer's black wagon with gallons of water in it

Promising review: "This wagon is simply unparalleled for hauling groceries. I moved into a condo and instantly realized after the first grocery trip that slowly hauling bags into the lobby, elevator, and upstairs in a slow, painful trek up to my third floor unit was not optimal. Keeping this wagon folded up and stashed away in the trunk is like having a secret weapon. It's great for hauling large packages from the lobby as well. Coming from unwieldy, painful hotel carts, this bad boy handles like a breeze, never catches on tricky turns even with a full load, and doesn't break a sweat. One of the best quality-of-life investments I've made." —girly girl

Promising review: "If you live alone, I highly suggest getting this. I bought this back in December and this past weekend, I took a spill down my stairs and broke my ankle. I'm 39 and live alone so I screamed for a while hoping someone in a neighboring house would hear me. Then I remembered Alexa! It was pretty far away so I crawled half way up my stairs and yelled for her to call my mom. While my mom couldn't hear me that well she knew something was wrong and came over. Who knows how long I would have been there if I didn't have it!" —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "As the mother of a feral 2-year-old who spends each day coming up with creative ways to hurt herself, I was at my wits end with our sliding glass doors. We’d tried spindles, baby locks, baby gates, and everything was a pain, or someone would forget to reinstall. We have two dogs that also go out that door constantly so we were struggling. I came across this on Amazon and thought, 'Why not?' Definitely the best thing I bought all year. It’s SO SIMPLE to use that now I don’t worry about our moms or house sitters being able to use it while babysitting. It keeps the door securely closed and my 2-year-old can’t escape. I plan to purchase some to take on vacation this summer for hotel sliding doors as well. These should come standard on every door but since they don’t, I HIGHLY recommend!!!" —Katie Stevenson

reviewer's Roomba vacuuming around their house
reviewer's cat next to Roomba and the pile of trash and pet hair it picked up

Okay soooo I work two jobs and live alone so it is the biggest challenge to do anything extra like cook, clean, grocery shop — there just aren't enough hours in the day. I got myself a robot vacuum to give myself one less daily task and OH MY GOSH. I'm soooo thankful for this thing. It has changed the game. I loved my Dyson vacuum that a family member gifted me except, I hated having to manually vacuum. Anything that takes a little work off my load is a win for me. My hair is constantly everywhere so I was always sweeping, vacuuming, and crying because there's always something to clean (welcome to adulthood, am I right?) but nowwwww, I get home and the hair that was on my bathroom floor after styling in the morning is gone. I almost kiss this thing daily, I love it and it has been the ultimate life upgrade. So so worth it. I have mine programmed to vacuum my house every Wednesday and Sunday morning through the app on my phone, I don't even have to turn the thing on. If you're super busy and cleaning stresses you out, let this vacuum take some of the stress off your plate.

Check out why my colleague, BuzzFeed Shopping writer Jessica Hall, looooves this:

"I recently got this magical little device and though I've only run it a few times I can genuinely tell you that it is a game changer. Unlike my other robot vacuum, this lil' guy also mops!! Vacuuming feels like a never ending battle with my hair and my three cats' fur because as soon as we are done there's somehow already more hair everywhere. This is going to change our lives forever. We can easily just run it whenever we want through our phone, and it even has a sensor to avoid obstacles so you don't have to worry about picking stuff up off the floor before you start it. And on top of all that, it even empties, cleans, and refills itself!! Like, you literally don't have to do anything other than push a button to start it. Yes, I know this thing is expensive, but honestly can you put a price on basically never putting any effort into cleaning your floors again?! 10/10 I would like every cleaning task to have a robot that'll do it for me."

And before you object, 'that’s not safe, the temperature will rise too much and promote bacteria growth' — I have ServSafe certs. I know my time and temp levels and those are in no way even close to approaching the danger zone unless you leave it for hours before cooking. Promising reviews: "I resisted getting one of these because who needs more gadgets that do not work?? This, however, WORKS! It took me two minutes to install to the underside of my over-sink cabinet. The screws were long enough to hold it but not so long that they popped through the other side. I live alone and had stopped buying anything in a jar or bottle because a combination of arthritis, dupuytren's, and a hand injury made it impossible for me to open these types of containers any longer. Now, I can hold the container with two hands, insert it into the V shape and a small twist opens it right up. I highly recommend it." —Kathryn

Promising review: "I like how easy it is to use. It worked on my first attempt even though I had no clue what I was doing. I'm certain I'll save a lot more money on food than what it cost me. I'm now living alone for the first time in a few decades and can't figure out how to cook for only one person and always throw away half of what I cook. Now I've got pre-made meals from the leftovers in the freezer. Just threw away a lot of meats in my freezer that have been in there too long in freezer bags. Promising review: "This thing is awesome! I am single and live alone and every time I buy produce it goes bad well before I can eat all of it. These REALLY work! I have put both grapes and strawberries in these containers and after a week they are just as good and fresh as the day I bought them. Same with lettuce and other veggies. This is my second one. I initially was skeptical so I bought a small one, it worked so well I ended up buying the bigger one as well. I have been recommending them to friends and they all love them. If you are thinking about getting this, just do it! You won't be sorry." —Knarferr

Promising review: "These REALLY work! We had to move them away from our fresh fruit so it would ripen! My produce is lasting at least three times as long without spoilage. Great product, and have already bought many as gifts. They don't seem to work on tomatoes, but they are great with bananas, apples, kiwi, pears, grapes, plums, peaches, lettuces, mushrooms, and many more fruits and vegetables." —Jacki

Worst part of living alone is trying to eat your produce before it goes bad and how much time is that, like, 12 minutes? No more looking at your bananas, looking away for 30 seconds, and them going bad. Thank you, Debbie!

The reviewer comparison above is what two bananas — one kept in the bag and one didn't — looked like after four or five days! Each bag can be reused 8–10 times.

Promising review: "I am a big warehouse shopper and in the past often couldn’t eat all those berries or all that lettuce before they went bad. So I followed the directions and made sure the produce was dry (lettuce, spinach, asparagus, and blueberries). For the lettuce and asparagus, saw a little condensation in the bag, so put a paper towel in the bag where moisture was accumulating. Two weeks later, the berries were almost as fresh as day one. Lettuce was still crisp and crunchy and only a few pieces of spinach were starting to wilt. Asparagus was crisp as well. I would definitely recommend and will continue to try with other fruits and vegetables." —BAS
