Thousands Of People Have Agreed That These 19 Photos Are Inexplicably Creepy

Thanks, I hate every single one of these photos!

The folks over at r/liminalspace are always sharing photos of places that feel like they shouldn't exist. And if you don't know what I mean by that, just scroll through this post and you'll get the idea.

Note: BuzzFeed is not responsible for any feelings of uncanny unease or shudders of dread experienced during this post.

    1. This person "accidentally pressed the wrong button on an elevator" and ended up in this eerie hallway with a random tree:

A long, deserted hallway with beige walls and ceiling, featuring a niche with minimalistic decor

    2. This person was in a Rite Aid that must have had some extra shelf space:

Store shelves are filled entirely with the same red condiment bottles, labeled "Groceries" above

    3. "The microwave area that the doormen in my building use." I'm pretty sure the poor doormen are gonna get sucked into an alternate dimension via that microwave:

Empty room with tiled floor, bare walls, and a single chair in the corner

    4. This line of balconies looks like something out of Squid Game:

Geometric architecture with repeating archways and railings create a visually striking, infinite pattern effect in a modern building design

    5. I can't tell if this winter evening walk is cozy or foreboding:

A snowy, quiet street with unique conical-roofed houses at night, softly lit by a streetlamp

    6. There's something about an indoor motel that makes me very uncomfy:

A spacious indoor courtyard with seating, plants, and a gazebo, surrounded by multi-level walkways, creating a serene, open atmosphere

    7. Like, looking out the window of your hotel and seeing ceiling tiles and fluorescent lights? WEIRD:

View from a window showing a building's interior wall with several windows visible

    8. And don't even get me started on this indoor pool:

Indoor pool with mural of landscape, featuring a large snail and mushroom near one corner

    9. It turns out that adding fake skylights doesn't help, either:

Grocery store aisle with fridge and shelves, featuring a ceiling display of blue sky with clouds

    10. And this is even WORSE:

Ceiling light with a sky and cloud design in a room with a chair and a window

    11. And this is a running track at a gym, which is making me feel claustrophobic:

Curved hallway with a brown floor and a white line running down the middle, flanked by white walls and a black ceiling with lights above

    12. Ctrl+C; Ctrl+V:

Foggy morning street scene with rows of suburban houses and empty driveways, creating a serene and quiet atmosphere

    13. This is a tunnel at a university, and frankly, it's just cruel to make the poor students walk down this thing:

A skewed, geometric hallway with walls and ceilings in contrasting colors, giving an optical illusion effect

    14. These doors at a school look like one can only tell the truth and the other can only tell lies:

Two blue double doors on a brick building with a concrete path leading through a grassy area

    15. This is a photo of a "ghost city" in China, where an entire city was built but ultimately ended up mostly uninhabited:

A deserted city street flanked by tall, modern apartment buildings and neatly arranged trees, with no people or vehicles visible

    16. This hallway feels like part of an alien ship:

Long, red-carpeted hallway with a tunnel-like, curved ceiling leading to a bright white opening in the distance

    17. Here's another school. It feels like you'd walk through the door at the bottom and immediately come out of the door at the top:

A modern, minimalist interior with concrete walkways and ramps, featuring geometric open spaces and natural light entering from skylights

    18. This was the view out of the window of the Reddit user's hotel they were staying at:

A densely populated apartment building, featuring numerous identical air conditioning units protruding from each window, creating a striking pattern

    19. And finally, there's something about this road that very much makes me not want to find out what's at the end of it (if there even is an end):

A long, straight dirt road stretches into the horizon under a dark, cloudy sky, flanked by fields
