As you probably know, the Met Gala is widely considered to be one of the biggest nights in fashion, with A-list celebrities often going all out to meet the theme and accompanying dress code, which changes every year.
And while not every attendee hits the mark with their outfit choices, one guest who regularly delivers is Zendaya, who you can always depend on to serve a Best Dressed look.
Of course, Monday was no exception, and Zendaya wowed fans when she stepped onto the blue carpet in a white custom Louis Vuitton suit and hat, which seemingly paid homage to Diana Ross’s look in the 1975 movie Mahogany.
But things took a turn a little later in the evening, when actor Anna Sawai arrived wearing averysimilar outfit. This year marked Anna’s first time at the Met, and she looked sensational in a white Dior suit, with a collared shirt and — you guessed it — matching hat.
And while neither Zendaya nor Anna have publicly reacted to their accidental twinning, the awkward moment that Zendaya’s long-time stylist, Law Roach, saw Anna on the carpet was caught on camera.
As always, Law styled Zendaya for this year’s Met, and he couldn’t hide his discomfort when he saw that Anna was also wearing a tailored white suit and hat. Law was speaking to the outlet Hello Beautiful when Anna arrived, and appeared distracted after they asked him: “Who helped you tailor your sense of style growing up?”
“You know what, I really got it from the church, my grandmother and my grandfather really did…” Law began before trailing off and laughing to himself as he noted: “I am dying coz she got on Zendaya’s look.”
